One of the things I love most about pediatric dentistry is the chance to connect with kids. I’ve learned that using fun, relatable language helps children understand the importance of their dental care. I often talk to kids about “sugar bugs” and “plaque monsters” to show them how brushing keeps their teeth healthy. When children understand the ‘why’ behind their care, they feel more empowered and take pride in their smiles. I want them to walk away feeling like they’ve conquered something, not just gotten a checkup!

Meeting Kids Where They Are

Children go through different stages of development, and I pride myself on being able to relate to each one. Whether they’re in the imaginative phase or just starting to grasp the concept of taking care of themselves, I meet them at their level. For younger children, I’ll often make the visit feel like a fun adventure. I may tell stories about “fighting sugar bugs” or reassure them with “mosquito kisses” when it’s time for an injection. I make it my goal to ensure that kids feel safe, confident, and ready to take on their dental visits I’ll listen to your concerns, respect your comfort zone, and ensure your child feels safe and cared for.

The Mom Factor

As a mom, I approach every patient with the understanding that I would want the best for my own children. I put myself in your shoes—whether it’s figuring out the best approach to care, explaining treatment options, or simply offering a listening ear. I often share my own experiences as a parent, because I know it helps families feel less alone. Every child is unique, and I take the time to explain each treatment option in a way that makes sense for you and your family.

Giving Back to the Community

Returning to my hometown to practice pediatric dentistry is an incredibly rewarding experience. I’m now caring for the children of my childhood friends, and it’s a joy to serve the community that shaped me. I understand the trust it takes to choose a healthcare provider, and I strive to build long-term relationships with my patients and their families. For me, it’s about more than just dentistry—it’s about giving back, building trust, and being a part of the community I love.
